BUCHERER BROOCH WATCH CA. 1960
€ 280.00
Very original Bucherer watch brooch probably dating from the 1960s.
In 1888, businessman and entrepreneur Carl Friedrich Bucherer and his wife Louise opened the Bucherer watch and jewelry store in Lucerne. Thanks to their enthusiasm for quality and craftsmanship, they laid the foundations for a company that has lasted for generations.
In the 1920s, sons Ernst and Carl Eduard Bucherer joined the family business. Ernst Bucherer entered into an important partnership with Hans Wilsdorf, the founder of Rolex, in 1924. The inclusion of the Rolex brand, then a recent innovation in his range, marked the beginning of a long and fruitful collaboration that has had a lasting impact on the watchmaking industry.
Since 2024, Bucherer has been part of Rolex, the company's oldest and most important partner. This integration has brought together two companies with a shared history and vision.
Presented here is a rare and original horseshoe-shaped brooch-watch.
The case is gold- and white-plated and powered by a Swiss-made manual-winding mechanism. The watch block is removable for ease of use. All in good condition.
An atypical and rare piece.
