JUVENIA WATCH SOLID SILVER CA. 1960

Juvenia is a manufacturer of luxury Swiss watches located in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. It is one of the few Swiss watch companies to have manufactured watches continuously since its founding in 1860.

This company produced a multitude of models with dials that were sleek, stylish and modern for their time.

Presented here is a very rare ladies' model in solid silver, in a minimalist style but designed like a jewel, like a large ring topped with a precious stone. The whole is solid and rigid, with a removable part that allows the wearer to insert her wrist. The atypical shape of the dial and its blue/purple color give it great allure.

The entire case is in 0.800 solid silver, except for the crown, which is in steel. The case features the old Swiss gentian flower hallmark, while the bracelet incorporates the "DG" hallmark, the initials registered by Didisheim Goldschmidt Fils & Cie in 1934 for Juvenia. The movement is mechanical and hand-wound, and the overall condition is good.

A highly modern piece of jewelry for its time. A rarity.
